The day was a perfect day for golfing or just being outdoors in Angel Fire. There were about 52 players entered and they were enjoying the play and the day. There were many prizes awarded, including wonderful plaques with an engraving of the Holy Angels proposed church on them. These were all created by Marvin Sherriff, who does a great job. Many other gift certificates and prizes of all sorts were also awarded. The raffle also featured stays at various hotels and ski resorts. There was probably about $4000.00 that will be going directly to the Holy Angels building fund from this venture! Please watch our website for pictures of events throughout the day, as we are waiting for some of our great photographers to submit the pictures. Thanks to all who helped with the planning, worked the day, the many great donations from so many of our wonderful businesses, and of course everyone who participated in the tournament.

It will be from 7:30 - 11 pm at the Angel Fire Community Center. Prizes for the best patriotic costumes will go to first, second & third places. Tickets are $25 for adults; $15 for children under 17 and 7 and under are free!!  The TIme Machine from Taos, an oldies group will play again and everyone loves them when they perform. We all had a great time and raised some money for the building fund. We hoped for a larger crowd, but considering that many of our part-time families are at their other home this time of the year, and we had some competition with other music being performed in Angel Fire, we didn't do too bad. Put your boots on and grab your hats!! The annual Boot Scoot'n BBQ and dance is coming on January 29th, 2010. This year it will be held at the Angel Fire Community Center, beginning at 7:30 pm and lasting until 11:30 pm. Music will be provided by Kim and the Caballeros from Taos - everyone loved them last year!

Get your tickets early and save some $$$ !  They will be $25.00 for adults and $15.00 for children (under 18) - at the door it goes to $30.00 for adults and $2000 for children under 18.  You can call 575-377-3332 for more information.

With many of our part-time parishioners gone back to their "other" homes, we have a smaller crowd, but have been surprised that the numbers have not dropped that much. We look forward to seeing you all each Saturday.

He came to us in July and is probably just getting adjusted to all the travel he does. Father, like previous Pastors, lives in Springer and travels to Immaculate Conception in Cimarron, St. Mel's in Eagle Nest, and Holy Angels in Angel Fire, plus other small mission churches. Father came to us from St. Jude Thaddeus in Albuquerque, NM. Father John Cannon has been assigned to work as a Vicar in Albuquerque with Archbishop Michael Sheehan. We wish you well, Father John.
